Writing Rules:

1. If a verb stem ends with a soft sign, the soft sign becomes и and one of the long vowels is dropped when we add 4. For example:

Морь+оо= морио                         хонь+оо= хонио

2. If a verb stem ends with a short vowel, the short vowel is dropped when we add 4. For example:

Дарга+аа= даргаа                        хурга+аа = хургаа

3. When 4 is added after nouns that end with long vowels and diphthongs, г is inserted before it. For example:

Хүү+ ээ= хүүгээ                            эмээ+ээ= эмээгээ

4. If the last letters of the verb stem are CVC (consonant vowel consonant), then vowel in between 2 consonants is dropped when we add 4. For example:

Үзэг+ээ= үзгээ                             нөхөр+өө= нөхрөө
