Dative/Locative Case
Used to indicate direction and destination.
Meaning: at, in, to
Questions: To whom; To what? Юунд? Хэнд?
Suffixes: -д/т
Suffix usage rules:
Use -д for words ending in a vowel (нохойд, далайд, аавд) and н, м, л (малд, байшинд) and always insert vowels with words ending in д, э, т, х, ш, ц, ж, ч (найзад, эмчид, багшид).
Use -т for words ending in б, г, р, с, д (гэрт, аймагт, цагт, Улаанбаатарт)
Pronouns:

3rd person | Түүнд (to him/her) | Тэдэнд (to them) |
Uses of Dative/Locative Case:
- To love and like
Би/Чи/Тэр______-д/т дуртай/хайртай.
Хайртай (To love):
Чи юунд хайртай вэ? What do you love?
Би чамд хайртай. I love you.
Дуртай/Дургүй (To like/dislike):
Та музейд дуртай юу? Do you like museums?
Тэр Орос хоолонд дуртай. She likes Russian food.
Би Төрмөндахын дуунд дуртай. I like Turmandah’s songs.
Тэр сүүнд дургүй. I don’t like milk.
Таалагдах (To like, fancy)
Надад________таалагд-сан/-даг/-аж байна (In regards to me, I like______).
Чи надад их таалагдаж байна. I like you a lot. (You are being liked by me).
Аавд бэлэг таалагдсан. Dad liked the gift. (The gift was liked by dad).
Надад Энэтхэг хоол таалагддаг. I like Indian food. (Indian food is liked by me).

Би Улаанбаатарт амьдарч байна. I live in Ulaanbaatar.
Тэр Монголд байна. She is in Mongolia.
Тэр ууланд гарсан. She hiked in the mountains.
- Time
Өнөөдөр 9 цагт хичээл эхлэнэ. Tomorrow class starts at 9:00.
Би 1921 онд төрсөн. I was born in 1921.
Дараа долоо хоногт тэр монголд ирнэ. She will come to Mongolia next week.
Би 10 цагт ээжтэйгээ дэлгүүр явсан. I went to the market with my mother at 10:00.

Надад олон ном бий. (I have a lot of books).
Баярмаад олон ном бий. (Bayarmaa has a lot of books).
