Used to indicate movement to or at something 

Meaning: to, at

Questions: At what? To whom? Юу руу? Хэн руу?

Suffixes: 

Луу (M)Used with vowels: а о, у, ё, я that end in “рГазар луу
Лүү (F)Used with vowels: ө, э, ү, е, и that end in “рГэр лүүгээ
Руу (M)Used with vowels: а о, у, ё, я that end with a vowelХот руу 
Рүү (F)Used with vowels: ө, э, ү, е, и that end with a vowelЭмнэлэг рүү
* (M)= Masculine * (F) Feminine

Directive Case Rules: 

  1. Never use with Dative case ending -д/т

Example sentences: 

Тэр дэлгүүр лүү явж байна. (She is going to the market)

Би уул руу явна. (I will go to the mountain)

Над руу утасдаарай (Please call (to) me)

Та Улаанбаатар луу хэзээ явах вэ? (When are you going to Ulaanbaatar)?
