Instrumental case

Used to indicate an object that is being used as part of an action such as transportation.

Meaning: by…., around, as, in order to…etc

Examples:

Унаагаар (by what means of transport), Хуучнаар (in the olden times), Гудамжаар (around/ by the streets)

Явахаар (In order to):

Би кафе явахаар такси авсан (in order to go to the cafe, I took a taxi).

Questions: By what; by whom? Юугаар? Хэнээр?


Suffixes: -аар, ээр, оор, өөр (using vowel harmony)


Pronouns:

1st personНадаар (by me)Биднээр (by us)
